Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, we are currently accepting new clients. Each of our psychologists maintain a small caseload so that we can provide the quality of care that our clients are entitled to.

  • Please feel free to send a request using the contact form on our website. We will return your message within 1-2 business days.

  • We no longer accept insurance. This was a difficult decision for us, as we understand that insurance can be a major consideration for many of our clients. The increasing limitations of coverage and frequently denied services to clients who actually need help is what ultimately led to our decision to end contracts with insurance companies. Further, the rigid guidelines of the insurance companies prevent an individualized treatment approach. We feel our clients deserve more than a one-size-fits all approach.

We are considered an out-of-network provider. Cost should never get in the way of therapy, which is why we help each client understand their out-of-network insurance benefits from the start. If you have a PPO-type plan and want to submit a claim for out-of-network reimbursement, we can give you a receipt, or a “superbill.” Please note that submitting an insurance claim means we will need to give you or your child a mental health diagnosis, which goes into your permanent health record. You can lookup your out-of-network benefits here.

  • We collect payment at the time of booking for all new services. For therapy and other ongoing appointments, we keep your credit card on file and charge it the day of the session. Our fees are reflective of our expertise, years of experience, and skill level, and are comparable to other doctoral-level psychologists in Florida.

Standard consultation and treatment sessions are 45 minutes and fees for these services vary based on the clinician’s license level.

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern $85-125
    Licensed Mental Health Counselor $150-175
    Licensed Psychologist $225-250

We offer 30-minute therapy check-ins when appropriate for $150. We offer reduced-fee PCIT for families interested in allowing one of our PCIT trainees to observe and/or lead the sessions.

Our comprehensive evaluations vary by the number of areas being assessed but are generally $1,200- $ 2,500.

  • We see all therapy clients by telehealth conducted via a secure and easy-to-use telehealth platform (Google Meet). We complete evaluations in-person as needed at our office in Tampa near the Westshore Mall. We do not offer in-person therapy at this time.

  • Our practice serves toddlers through young adults throughout Florida.

An occasional exception may be made in the case of an emergency. Please notify us by text or email if you need to cancel.

  • We hold a modern view of mental health treatment: one that is non-judgmental, warm, humorous, and most importantly, goal directed. We are firm believers in the healing powers of knowledge. Empowering our clients with the information they need to improve their wellbeing is the root of all our services.

We have a collaborative and therapeutic approach to assessment, with a focus on gathering only the most relevant data while emphasizing client strengths to determine the most effective supports for each client.

In therapy, we find that an eclectic approach works best, meaning we pull from a variety of theories and techniques.

We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Mindfulness. We take an individualized treatment approach and collaborate with our clients on the best modalities for them.

  • No, we do not prescribe medication. We are a group of psychologists, not psychiatrists. To obtain medication, you will need to consult with a medical doctor (psychiatrist or primary care physician) or nurse practitioner in psychiatry. We will share information on the effectiveness of medication for your specific situation and provide community referrals to psychiatry as needed. If you are already taking medication, we will coordinate care with your prescribing doctor.

  • We do not conduct child custody evaluations, nor do we provide custody recommendations. We also do not provide treatment for eating disorders, psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, etc.), or personality disorders.
